Giving Thanks in 2020

One of the ways to help yourself to feel better during these difficult times is to focus on the good things in your life. The little things that help you through every day, such as your dog having a little game in the garden, a loved one's smile or the sun coming up over the Southampton water.

The Mayflower400 team at Southampton City Council is running a campaign to create digital memories that bring the people in Southampton together in a shared celebration of our city. Mayflower 400 will post a selection of ‘thanks’ on their website and through their social media channels and at the end of the campaign, an online digital artwork made by Shared Space and Light will bring all this community activity together.

Watch the video here and read more about how you can get a grant for your community group (up to £150) or free video training by getting involved with the campaign here.

Share what you give thanks for on a day-to-day basis by sending a photo, short video, drawing, dedication, story or poem. Use the hashtag #MyGivingThanks to share your moments of gratitude. And please help us by spreading the word about the Mayflower 400 campaign through your networks, newsletters and social media channels.
